Florian Vuille

Switzerland 1985

Florian studies Theatre at Geneve Conservatory before getting a physical theatre BA at « Scuola Teatro Dimitri » (Verscio, Switzerland).

He starts his career as a clown in several European circuses - Compagnie Zenzero, Circus Monti, Circus Finlandia, Belarus State Circus.

In 2012 he moves to Brussels and goes from circus to dance; here he meets David Zambrano in 2013 and, since then, works and trains with him.

Nowadays Florian proposes dance projects for kids together with Anne-Lore Baekland and Mat Voorter; he is also working with Daniele Bianco, Fanny Brouyaux, Las Moustakas and Brut Movement Improvisation Collective.

For every performance, he draws inspiration for each and every of his professional experiences.

Irene Occhiato

Italy 1989

Born in Turin, Irene formerly studies contemporary dance with Cie Zappalà Danza, next she continues here studies individually following workshop around Europe.

One of the most important experiences in her formation is David Zambrano’s workshop “Sixty Days of Improvisation”; after that, Irene decides to dedicate her artistic research to improvisation.

Irene utilises movement, singing and physical theatre as means of expression as improvisation is a lifestyle for her.

Previous collaborations: Nacera Belaza, Roberto Castello, David Zambrano, Liz Kinoshita, Thierry Smiths.

Alexandra Pholien

Belgium 1995

Alexandra meets contemporary dance at Lycée Martin V in Louvain la Neuve. She subsequently gets a BA at London Contemporary Dance School and finishes her studies with an internship with the National Dance Academy of Wales.

Since 2017 Alexandra freelances counting amongst her collaborations the ones with Matteo Marfoglia, Elio Gervasi, Beate Höhn, Emilio Calcagno.

In 2020 she starts her studies in physiotherapy while continuing dancing with Brut Movement Improvisation Collective. Alexandra is inspired y anything moving around her, she loves observing, listening and wandering. Improvisation allows her to talk through her body in any moment.

Paola di Bella

Italy 1986

Paola is a performer with a big passion for music and improvisation.

She studied at Laban Centre in London and worked with Nik Haffner, Valerie Preston Dunlop and Ali Jones with whom she learned « Forsythe improvisation technology ».

In 2012 she attended an internship with William Forsythe’s Company and - at the same time - she collaborated with Marten Spangberg, Xavier Le Roy, Tino Sehgal, Renan Martins et Pietro Marullo.

Since 2014 she lives in Brussels where she met David Zambrano and studies in-depth improvisation, Flying Low and Passing Through. Nowadays, she works with Florian Vuille, Brut Movement, David Zambrano, Jenna Hendry and she is the founder of “Pocket Poney Live Concerts”, a performances that display all of her talents and interests such as dance, singing, fashion, make-up, theatre and comedy.

Luigi Bisogno

Italy 1995

Luigi is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brussels. With strong past experiences in both Music and Theater, he has since 2021 decided to use that luggage and join dance classes. So far, the journey has been adventurous and very much influenced by David Zambrano's teachings on Dance Improvisation.

He joined Brut Movement in spring 2023, he is the drummer in the duo Italo-Romantic Punk (IRP) together with Florian Vuille and works in various projects as a performer.

Before diving into the arts, Luigi studied sociology, earned a master's in Urbanism and taught in a primary school.

Apart from performing, Luigi loves crafting lamps from forgotten objects, enjoying the challenge of repurposing what's at hand.

Arnaud Beelen

Belgium 19xx

Also known as Brut Movement’s “Coach”, Arnaud studied graphic design in Brussels. He works as a designer but he’s also passionated by photography and Aïkido - he practiced the latter for 32 years. In 2010 he approached the world of contemporary dance via a love story which will bring him to meet and make friends David Zambrano and Mat Voorter.

In 2019 he photographed and documented David Zambrano’s workshop “60 days of improvisation” which included 72 dancers from 30 different countries - here, he met the soon-members of Brut Movement Improvisation Collective; he’ll become officially part of the collective in 2021.

He’s now been, for 5 years, the official photographer for Tic Tac Art Centre.

In collaboration with Irene Occhiato they are the authors of "34, Rue Emile Carpentier" a photographic project documenting the life of Tictac Art Centre over 2 years, the book includes images of over 160 artists/performers/dancers from 40 different countries.
